Adult Baptism
We believe in Baptism! Baptism is a normal part of the Christian life, and usually the first step after a person gives their life to Jesus (Acts 2:38). Baptism is not required for salvation, but it is a step of obedience to the Word of God and your public declaration of faith in Jesus.
The word “baptise” means “to dip under water”. It identifies with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and symbolises a profound transformation – the old self submerged and the new self emerging in Christ. (Romans 6:4)
We encourage everyone who has chosen to follow Jesus to get baptised. However, we recommend that children under age twelve wait until they grasp the full significance of baptism.
