Membership
Below is our understanding of church membership based on ACTS 2
ACTS 2:41-47 (ESV)
41 So those who received his word were baptised, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
When you believe in Jesus, getting Baptised, and being added to a Church is the natural next step.

From the passage above, we believe membership of a Church means being “devoted”, or committed, to the following 4 things:
  1. The Church’s GUIDANCE, teaching and direction, which comes through the leaders, and must be based on the Bible.
  2. Being a positive influence on the UNITY of the fellowship. Working on good relationships, rather than being divisive.
  3. CONTRIBUTING with your time, talents and treasure.  Each of us should be involved and willing to give to the life of the Church, including attending meetings and giving of our resources.
  4. Our MISSION – the “Great Commission” – which means helping in some way in reaching the world with Christ’s love and salvation.

What does “Unity” look like?

PHIL 2:2 (NLT)

“… make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.”
We can see from this verse that unity means agreeing in 3 main areas:
  1. LOVE – relationship and affection – HEART
  2. MIND – the main points of what we BELIEVE
  3. PURPOSE – the same aim and focus – our MISSION.

When we’re together like this, nothing is impossible in God. Join us as we serve God together in this great task He’s given us – taking His love to the ends of the earth… a “Family on a Mission”

What We Believe

Below are 2 videos explaining our main beliefs

What We Believe (Part 1)
What We Believe (Part 2)
Our Statement of Beliefs
Below is a written summary of our beliefs.

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing, as fully inspired of God and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is true God and true man.

We believe that God created man in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of sin which is death physically and spiritually; that all human beings inherit a sinful nature which issues (in the case of those who reach moral responsibility) in actual transgression involving personal guilt. Sin is defined by the Bible, not by culture.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world as a substitutionary sacrifice according to the Scriptures, and that those who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus, His ascension into Heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit; and in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. We believe in the divinely ordained ministries of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.

We believe that the highest form of human Spiritual authority is that of Elders governing independent local Churches, who act as overseers and shepherds, and who encourage and equip the saints to do the work of ministry so that the whole body is involved in ministry.

We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.

We believe that the one true Church is the whole company of those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit; and that the local Church is God’s chosen and best vehicle to bring about His purposes on earth. The local Church consists of a group of born again believers committed to each other, and to God’s mission, and to be guided and equipped by gifted leaders.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances – Baptism in water and the Lord’s Supper – to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith, that Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection and that the Lord’s Supper is the partaking of the emblems symbolic of the Saviour’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death, until he comes.

We believe that divine healing was provided for in the Old and New Testament and is an integral part of the Gospel.

We believe that the Bible teaches that without holiness no-one can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation.

We believe that the Great Commission – to “make disciples of all nations” – is the main mission of Christians and of the local Church, and that helping to plant and strengthen independent Churches around the world is the best way to fulfill this commission.
